Please can I post for my sanity sake

I'm stuck here in the general
Saw rheumatology sho

No rheummy himself until weds

I need the knee sorting
Sho says this is urgent emergency as current knee situation after surgery is intolerable

Will see surgical team monday but I need a full knee replacement with extra supports. The pain post op from mon isn't manageable and so I might be able to try for the knee by emergency next wk

No one wants this
I know that knees last only 10-15 yrs
At 35 that's a lot of knees
But
Also with a nearly 4 yr old that's a lot of life

Bernie is 4 tomorrow. Im over looking the very place she was born!

My dear parents are coming in later on
With Katherine having had a stroke earlier in the month with connection to her lupus it's been very hard for them.

Spare us a prayer please for managing not to cry on bernice birthday when they come in here and for the decisions for Monday

I think they should just go for the op.

Waiting for dr now as my operated on knee has grown a hard swollen hump...

Oh Jenni, Jenni

My heart goes out to you my love. I pray for you every day but I will be praying harder than ever. I can't believe all these things are happening to you. Bless you!
At church tomorrow, I will put a candle on for you and I know you will get through Bernice's birthday without crying. I just want to hug you and tell you everything will be ok but I know I can't. If I could do anything for you I would. You don't deserve all this. I do hope you get your knee op immediately. This is too much. Sending you lots and lots of prayers and love.

Oh Jenni, I'm so sorry to hear all this!
What a shame they didn't decide to replace your knee instead of messing it about.
Praying for your whole family, and Happy Birthday to little Bernice for tomorrow.

Love and hugs,
Doreen xx

Jenni

I am so sorry that it has come to this. I really thought this would keep you going until they did a knee replacement. Maybe it is best to hang on in there and get the full and proper knee replacement whilst you are in hospital.

As I have said in previous posts, yes we are young for new knees but get through today and worry about the future if needs be. I am sure they will last us much longer than people without RA as we are not exactly going to be running any marathons soon anyway with all our other joints to contend with.

Happy 4th Birthday to Bernice. She will not mind you being in hospital as long as she gets to be with her Mummy on her special day.

Take care and you know we are always there for you.

Jackie

Hi Jenni,

Hugs from me too, whether these knees last 15 years or not your need is greater now. I will pray for you too. RA joints when bad need replacing why not make life a little easier for you, with the replacement knee. My dad had his replaced years ago and with using my exercise bike once he was able, gave him a better angle bend than the consultant had seen. I really hope they listen to you. Every happiness for little Bernice on her 4th Birthday. xxxxx Hugs.

Fingers X'd for you Jenni

Take care Lorna xx Smile

Thanks so very much

I saw a dr this eve who is a surgical team one.
She s looked at the new swollen hump on the top left of the knee.

It could be where they took so much out the have caused fluid to leak into that bit of knee
Or ( unlikely) could be a clot

Ultrasound on Monday
Interestingly she thinks shes going to speak to my surgical team directly as she says this is emergency request surgery even though knee replacements are normally classed as elective
More news Monday
Jenni xx

Ps I've got bernice a Disney princesses balloon!!! It's here above my bed ready for her tomorrow :)

Hi Jenni
As it's after 12 midnight may I be the first to wish Bernice a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Where have those 4 years gone? As regards knee replacements my first was nearly 20
years ago and is still going strong. Have just counted up and realised the other was
10 years ago next week. Gosh, where have those years gone also. Do hope you get some
better news on Monday but enjoy Sunday. Anne

Sorry to read that things didn't go as planned.

If you need a new knee Jenni, then you need one regardless of your age. Hope that there is some good news on Monday.

Just want to send you a big (((((HUG))))) and hope things get better soon.

Happy Birthday to Bernice as well.

Love to you all.

Paula xx

Hi Jenni - hope you have had as good a day as possible today and that the bday girl enjoyed herself. So sorry to hear all you are going through. Really hope you get some solutions quickly. Take care - hope you have a good supply of non-hospital food to keep you going. Much love to you xx Ailsa
